As part of The University of Edinburgh’s data-driven innovation activities, EDINA and the Centre for Data, Culture & Society is currently inviting small grant proposals for short-term IT development projects.
CAHSS will shortly be establishing the Centre for Data, Culture & Society, which will support the growth and development of data-driven research across CAHSS. Do you have an idea for a development project that will enable CAHSS researchers to explore or enhance data-driven and computational methods in their work? This might be a standalone project, such as visualising a single dataset, or a contribution to a larger research project, such as building a data capture tool or working towards the creation of a mobile app. The CDCS Centre is particularly keen to fund pilot projects submitted with a view towards future funding bids.
If you have an idea for a data-led CAHSS research project but are unsure of the scale, scope and practicalities involved, please come along to the pre-application event, or get in touch by email. Initial proposals should be submitted via the CDCS Small Development Funding Form. For more information contact Dr Lisa Otty, CDCS Centre Manager: digitalscholarship@ed.ac.uk
