Summary

The aim is to create and foster shared infrastructure, both social and technical, that will enable deposit, curation and dissemination of research literature, in line with JISC advocacy for Open Access and visibility of research at universities, including preparation for the research excellence framework.

  • Mapping the Repository Landscape
  • Stakeholder analysis and engagement strategy
  • Review tools and services needed for repository workflows as basis for catalogue of service components
  • Agreed process for definition and funding of service components
  • Technical infrastructure production environment
  • Review checkpoint for Phase 2 activities.

Phase 2:

  • Review of service components to meet community needs: shared service suite
  • Partnership arrangements for components
  • Service desk support for component services and customers
  • Sustainability model(s)
  • Extended technical infrastructure production environment
  • Progress and final project reports.
