Ordnance Survey Small Scale Products Available for Download

Two Ordnance Survey small-scale datasets are now available for download from ShareGeo. The MiniScale product is nominally at 1:1,000,000 and covers the whole of Great Britain in a single dataset. Two TIF raster versions are availble: one with a relief background, and one without. The other small scale product available is the 1:250,000 Scale Colour Raster. This is available as 100kmx100km individual tiles, although they have been grouped into 2 datasets for ShareGeo: A Scotland dataset and an England and Wales dataset. Again these are TIF raster images with TFW world files for georeferencing.

New Digimap Citation Tool Available

Have you ever wondered how to cite maps or data obtained from Digimap? Occaisionally we get questions such as: "I have used OS Strategi data and whilst able to view copyright statements, I am unsure of the correct way in which to cite in a reference list the use of this data?" or "How do I reference the digimap geological map in my write up? Also, I have quoted some of the descriptions in the BGS Lexicon of Named Rock Units, how do I reference these? Well, wonder no more. We have created a guide and a tool to help you create such references.
