Summary

The Visual and Sound Materials Portal, funded by JISC, was a scoping study and demonstrator project to build a demonstrator portal for time-based media and still images - including those licensed for the JISC community, those available 'free' on the internet, and those generated within the academic and publicly-funded community.

Phase 3 Project Deliverables

• Final Project Report
• An enhanced Portal demonstrator was available for a further two years after project completion.
• The portal architecture and specification, documented and available as an output in a form clear enough for others to pick up and build upon.
