The Jisc Publications Router

(formerly the Repository Junction Broker)

Phase 2 (Repository Shared Services Project): 1 August 2013 to 31 July 2015
Phase 1 (UK Repository Net+): 1 April 2012 to 31 July 2013

This latest phase will see the launch of the Publications Router run a service based on the service-ready RJ broker application produced as part of the UK Repository Net+ RJ Broker project.

The Publications Router is a standalone middleware tool for handling the deposit of research articles from a provider to multiple repositories.

The Router offers a solution to a many-to-many problem by accepting data objects, parsing their metadata to determine the appropriate target repositories and transferring the data to the registered repositories. It is intended to minimise efforts on behalf of potential depositors, and thereby maximise distribution and exposure of research outputs.
