The Repository Junction Broker

RJ Broker

Phase 1 (UK Repository Net+): 1 April 2012 to 31 July 2013
Phase 2 (Repository Shared Services Project): 1 August 2013 to 31 July 2015

This latest phase in the RJ Broker development will launch and run a service based on the service-ready RJ broker application produced as part of the UK Repository Net+ RJ Broker project. The RJ Broker is a standalone middleware tool for handling the deposit of research articles from a provider to multiple repositories. The RJ Broker offers a solution to a many-to-many problem by accepting data objects, parsing their metadata to determine the appropriate target repositories and transferring the data to the registered repositories. It is intended to minimise efforts on behalf of potential depositors, and thereby maximise distribution and exposure of research outputs.
